Terms of Service
Last updated: Oct 25, 2026
By creating an account or using PingTrail (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
You are responsible for the activity on your account, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for enabling available security features such as two-factor authentication or passkeys. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
When using PingTrail to monitor endpoints, you agree that you:
Will only configure monitors for systems you own or are authorized to check.
Will not use the Service to overload, probe for vulnerabilities in, or otherwise disrupt any system.
Will not use check intervals or heartbeat configurations in a way intended to abuse shared infrastructure.
Will not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate the rights of others.
We may suspend or terminate monitors or accounts that we reasonably believe violate this section.
Any status page, Atom feed, or badge you choose to publish is publicly accessible to anyone with its link. You are solely responsible for the content and naming of monitors you choose to display publicly.
We aim to keep the Service reliable, but checks, notifications, and status pages are provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee that every outage will be detected or that every notification will be delivered, and the Service should not be your only means of detecting a critical failure.
You are responsible for the accuracy of email addresses and webhook endpoints you configure as notification channels, and for anything those destinations do with the alerts PingTrail sends them.
The Service, including its software and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. You retain ownership of the monitor configurations and data you add to the Service.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PingTrail is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service, including losses resulting from undetected or unreported outages.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@pingtrail.dev.
